Description

Woman, 72 years old. right-handed. Diagnosis: stroke, spastic paralysis

Brain area: motor cortex - cerebral cortex
Tissue: motor nerves
Conflict content: conflict of not being able to run away, feeling trapped, conflict about one's own freedom of movement
Conflict course: conflict repetition/recurrence

The first stroke occurred in July '17. From the knowledge of the 5 biological laws of nature, we can deduce that there must have been some relief regarding a certain problem beforehand. The stroke occurs in the healing crisis of a conflict-resolved phase in the so-called healing crisis. What happened? The woman lives in a marriage with a man who was unpredictable. She described it as a defect in his brain. He could not allow closeness, was unpredictable in his mood and repeatedly destroyed the cozy get-togethers of the woman with her children. The children lost interest in tinkering, crafting and exploring on their own because he kept badmouthing things. She wanted to get away from him. According to her own statement, she couldn't because of her children. This created the feeling of being trapped. "I couldn't get away, as much as I wanted to."

In 2014, her then husband died, but that didn't resolve the inner feeling; the feeling remained. It wasn't until she met a new man at the end of '16 and married him six months later with butterflies in her stomach that she felt liberated. That was the point in time when the conflict was resolved in March '17. The first stroke followed in July '17 - almost exactly six months later.

She was still quite fit considering the circumstances and it was extremely important to her to be independent and to manage her life as best as possible on her own. Her car was modified so that she could drive despite her limitations, and she even passed the aptitude test for driving a car, so that she was officially allowed to do so. If it weren't for her current husband... On the one hand, he was very helpful and caring, but his overprotectiveness restricted her to the point that he wouldn't let her drive alone. She couldn't stand up to him and his fears and eventually gave up inside.

"I had the feeling that I wasn't allowed to do anything on my own anymore." This conflict - triggered by her husband - was resolved with resignation (but only partially), so that she suffered another stroke (feeling = "I can't move freely). Once again, her freedom was (seemingly) restricted by a man. She had given up on herself internally. The new stress with the increasingly worsening symptom of paralysis led to a vicious circle that she could not break because she had not solved her actual problem (avoiding conflicts with her husband). The spastic paralysis got worse and worse the more stress she had with the symptom. Her body fulfills her unconscious wish to be more and more restricted because she has developed this as a solution to her problem - resignation. She accepts the suffering for not asserting her needs.

Learning step: Stand up for your independence. Do things on your own in small steps, drive a car alone, go to rehab sports alone, etc. and accept that there may be arguments with your husband because he unconsciously keeps her dependent. As background: She cannot talk to him about feelings, he and she completely avoid conflicts and arguments.
